Blue Rose Review

I apologize right now for this bit of personal information but ambition is such a weird turn on for me. It just flips this switch in my brain and I turn into a drooling fanboy, BUT since I’m aware of it I know how to keep it from affecting things like this site…most of the time.

Blue Rose from White Cat Games is an ambitious title and I figured that out when I realized I was standing in a puddle after about five minutes of play. This commercial title is much closer to epic atmosphere of JRPGs like in the Tales Of series while weaving in traditional otome elements and characterizations. Princess Battles Review

You know what I don’t talk about enough on this site? Having fun.

Yeah I’ll be the first to admit that I am a sucker for a solid drama story or murder mystery. But at the same time, as much of a Child of Darkness I am, even I want to enjoy myself from time to time. So when I compare something negatively to Twilight my problem isn’t her per se. My problem is how her work seems to be driving whole mediums into cynical, mindless romanticism as long as it involves beings with two X chromosomes. So, for the record, now MEN aren’t the only ones screwing up female characters: women have joined in the fun! Wait, does that mean with bad fiction we have reached true gender equality?

The world may never know.

But, what happens when someone takes what Stephanie Meyer tries to do and does it ‘right’? Well, then we have the subject of today’s review. Let’s jam.
